The reason for this is because the toner and drum consumable does a lower cost per copy compared to other methods such as inkjet or ink ribbon. Also as the Phillips Laserjet LPF825 has a telephone handset it can also be used as a standard telephone as well.
At the front of the Philips Laserjet LPF825 there is also a qwerty keyboard you can use to write SMS text messages. These messages are the same as the text messages you can send on a normal cellular mobile telephone and are sent using your BT telephone line at a standard rate.
